North Carolina- At the time this was written creditors in North Carolina aren't allowed to garnish wages in an attempt to collect on a judgment from an unsecured debt.
Florida- At the time this was written the state of Florida has very good homestead laws that prevent a creditor from placing a lien on a property for the purpose of collecting an unsecured debt.
South Carolina- At the time this was written creditors in South Carolina aren't allowed to garnish wages in an attempt to collect on an unsecured debt.
Texas- At the time this was written creditors in Texas aren't allowed to garnish wages in an attempt to collect on a judgment for an unsecured debt, nor are they allowed to place a lien on a personal property in order to collect on a judgment from an unsecured debt.
Pennsylvania- At the time this was written creditors in Pennsylvania aren't allowed to garnish wages in an attempt to collect on a judgment for an unsecured debt.
